When I was suffering with sleep issues, I made two critical mistakes . . .

 

1) Subconsciously, I assumed it would just go away by itself at some point, so I didn’t really do that much to change my situation.

2) I thought that, because I'd been sleeping well in the past, I assumed I already knew most things about sleep and more or less how to do it.

My name is Matthew. I'm an author from New Zealand who's spent the last six years researching and writing about sleep.

 

Having first set out on a mission to cure my own insomnia, the fascinating research led me to writing my first sleep book, "I Can't Sleep: A Condensed Guide to Reclaiming Your Sleep." It was this that opened my eyes.

Since then, I've endeavoured to educate others on sleep, believing that a better-rested world would be healthier, happier, and more driven in co-creating a better Earth.

​

While this might sound like an ambitious dream, I'm hoping you'll join me. I've created a number of sleep resources to help others who—like me—have been stuck in cycles of poor sleep without truly knowing what's wrong or how to solve it.

You'll find below my "starter" resource—the Five Fingers of Insomnia. This is a model I created to make understanding insomnia super simple and quick, giving people a solid starting point for understanding some of the basic science and principles.
